How long is the Texas LTC class?
The state-mandated course is a minimum of 4 hours and 15 minutes of instruction. It covers Texas firearms laws, use of force/deadly force, traveling statutes, firearm safety/storage, and non-violent dispute resolution, followed by a written exam and shooting proficiency test. The aforementioned hours of instruction does not include breaks, paperwork completion, written exam, range safety briefing or range proficiency.
Do I need to own a gun to take the class?
No. We provide handgun rentals for $25 plus $10 ammunition purchase if you do not have your own firearm yet. No borrowed firearms allowed! Your firearm must be in good working conditions with no safety issues or concerns.
Where are the classes held?
We offer regularly scheduled classes in Houston and the surrounding area. We also provide private classes and can conduct training anywhere in the State of Texas. Check out our class schedule for locations and times of upcomming classes.
What states recognize my Texas LTC?
A Texas LTC is currently recognized in over 30 states. During our course, we also make Florida, Utah and Arizona licensing available to our students, which can further expand your carrying privileges across much of the US.
